EQuALLS2 goes to the ARMM Education Congress

The EQuALLS2 Project went to the ARMM Education Congress on June 4 and 5, 2010 in Cagayan de Oro City where about 400 school administrators were gathered to chart a strategy for the region's education reform.
 
The Congress theme was "Restoring people's faith and trust in public schools through education reforms."

USAID and DepED hone teaching content knowledge and skills in Mindanao conflict areas

USAID continued to support the Philippines' Department of Education in improving teachers' content knowledge and professional skills through the development of a guide for teacher mentoring in English, science, and math, on May 12-17, 2010.

USAID enhances teaching skills of Mindanao out-of-school youth educators

USAID strengthened the teaching of English, science, and math to out-of-school children and youth (OSCY) in Mindanao conflict areas by training 39 OSCY educators under the alternative learning program of USAID’s Education Quality and Access for Learning and Livelihood Skills (EQuALLS2) Project from April 30 to May 5, 2010 in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

USAID and Microsoft demonstrate sustainable ICT training for Mindanao educators

USAID’s EQuALLS2 project and Microsoft Corporation imparted sustainable ICT skills and training, as demonstrated by ICT mentor teachers from Midsayap, North Cotabato training 49 of their fellow public elementary school teachers on April 19-30, 2010 at USAID-funded computer hubs.
