More than 250 members of Parent-Teacher Associations in high-poverty conflict-affected areas in Mindanao shared their best practices and lessons learned with one another in EQuALLS2's October 18-19, 2011 forum in Davao City to cap its community engagement initiatives.

Among the best practices shared were in PTA and LGU planning and implementation of education projects, tracking of education improvements using the Barangay (village) Education Report Card, and parent-child reading.

EQuALLS2 trained more than 1,000 PTAs and other similar school governance structures in marginalized areas in Mindanao in support of the Philippines' school-based management thrust, which devolves school improvement planning to school officials and PTAs to realize its "Education for All" vision by 2015.
