EQuALLS2 equipped 104 elementary school teachers and administrators in conflict-affected Datu Paglas town in Maguindanao province with basic computer skills and 16 computer sets.
USAID, in partnership with Microsoft Philippines and the national and ARMM Departments of Education, equipped 104 elementary school teachers and administrators in conflict-affected Datu Paglas town in Maguindanao province with basic computer skills and 16 computer sets on August 28, 2009 under USAID’s Education Quality and Access for Learning and Livelihood Skills (EQuALLS2) Project. Maguindanao, teachers and administrators are trained to use these skills and equipment for improved school and classroom management and instruction, and to pass on the computer skills to other teachers. USAID’s EQuALLS2 Project will provide basic computer training and equipment to reach 3,000 teachers and administrators in 10 municipalities in Mindanao by 2011.
