(Learning Series Issue 11) EQuALLS2's Scholarship Program for Out-of-school Youth Describes EQuALLS2's Scholarship Program, which was designed to help transform the existing survival-oriented economic activities of participating out-of-school youth into more viable and economically productive livelihood pathways, thereby supporting community-wide economic growth and peace-building. (Learning Series Issue 10) The Barangay Education Report Card (BERC): Tracking In-school and Out-of-school Education Improvements in the Philippines During the last 4 years of implementation of the EQuALLS2 Project, it embarked on developing Parent-Teacher Associations and Local School Boards to make them better-functioning organizations that are able to manage education improvement projects more effectively. Part of the capacity-building process that the project employed is the development of the Barangay Education Report Card (BERC) system, which is used by communities to track their education improvements. This document provides an overview of the BERC and the lessons learned by the project in the process of implementating it. Download
