The EQuALLS2 Project turned over on August 30, 2010 sixteen desktop computer sets with eight printers to the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) hub of 31 elementary schools in the municipality of Dinas in Zamboanga del Sur province, for the use of 100 teachers whom the project, in partnership with Microsoft Philippines, had earlier trained on basic computer use.

The Dinas municipal government refurbished an old building of the Dinas Central Elementary School to house the ICT hub, and will pay for the hub's monthly electricity costs.

The computers and the accompanying licensed Microsoft Office and Encarta software should enable the teachers to use the modern technology they learned in their training for improved teaching via research and preparation of visual aids, and for more efficient instructional management such as with the use of Microsoft Excel for faster computation and recording of grades and of Microsoft Word for faster lesson plan preparation.

The trained teachers are expected to transfer their skills to other teachers. The best mentors were recently given advanced ICT training.

To date, EQuALLS2 has delivered 128 desktop computer sets to 11 ICT hubs in six sites in Mindanao, and has trained 1,206 ICT mentors.
