On October 26, USAID capped five years of teacher training by turning over teacher training modules and tools on English, science, and math, instructional practices, and early grade literacy to the Philippine Department of Education.

The materials and learning emerged from activities focused in areas most affected by poverty and conflict in southern Philippines, where education outcomes are poorest nationwide.

Over the last five years, student achievement scores in target project areas increased by an average of 28% overall.
